Common Ink

Writing in wild places. Learning from the land.

Common Ink is a small outdoor writing group rooted in the Fife landscape. We meet in wild and growing places , woodland edges, shorelines, common ground and use creative writing as a way of slowing down, paying attention, and deepening our connection to where we live.

Each session is shaped by permaculture principles: observation, relationship, and yield. You don’t need writing experience. You just need curiosity and willingness to be outside.

What to expect

Sessions run for around three to four hours in small groups of six to ten people. Each gathering is anchored to a season and a place, with time for silent observation, guided writing prompts, and optional sharing. There will be hot drinks and simple snacks to keep us going.

No previous writing experience is needed. This is not a critique group or a workshop in the conventional sense it’s a space to notice, to write, and to see what emerges.
